EAO, 7 December 2019 -- The Salesian Bulletin, one of Don Bosco's shrewdest inventions, is now printed in 64 editions in 31 different languages with a total of 8.5 million copies every year that unites and forms the 500,000 official members of the Salesian Family and many more friends of Don Bosco. The 'original' Italian edition, 11 versions in English, 14 in Spanish, 7 in French, 4 in Portuguese, 8 in Slavic languages, (8 in EAO languages, 6 in South Asian languages) and one in each of German, Dutch, Lithuanian and Hungarian.

When we look around at our resources for the formation of our lay mission partners or Salesian Family members, we don't find a better instrument or material than the 'good old' Salesian Bulletin, already 142 years old.

During the last three month of 2019, various editions of the EAO Salesian Bulletin in the EAO have been published:

The Korean edition has already reached its 150th issue (bimonthly since 1996) with a special about the oversea trips of young people and focus on the young branches of the Salesian Family like Arianna (SYM) & SalesiTh (ASC).

The Australia-Pacific Salesian Bulletin (Autumn 2019 issue) beside sharing the anniversaries and Salesian Family events in the four countries, reports on the new FMA community established in Gizo (Solomon Islands) on the periphery of the FMA 'South Pacific Region'. As usual, the experienced editor brings to the readers the whole panorama of EAO regional news from Pakistan to the Pacific.

The Japan Salesian Bulletin (Don Bosco in the Wind: Don Bosco no Kaze) is a semestral publication (no.20) published through the wide collaboration of all 8 groups of the Salesian Family in Japan. The Facebook page of the GIA Salesian Bulletin is a daily window into the Salesian Family - a good twin to the paper version.

We give thanks for the hard work and patience of all EAO Salesian Bulletin editors and pray that we find more enthusiastic Salesian Family members to spread the Salesian good news of the Bulletin in our respective languages and countries!
