4765(III)_First formation of Salesian economers - Myanmar style

MYM Salesian local economers’ course 2018

Anisakan, Myanmar, 21 June 2018 -- The very first course for Myanmar Viceprovince local economers course is taking place in Yangon between 18-22 June 2018. Local Bursars from all 8 Salesian presences are taking part in the formation conducted also with help of few lay professional experts in administration and economy matters.


During these five days of formation have been deepen the following topics:

  1. The Identity of the Economer with the talk prepared by Genral Economer Br. Jean Paul Muller last May 2017
  2. Study of the Guidelines for the Administration of Lay Associations, published by Card. João Braz, Prefect of the Congregation for Consecrated Life, ed. 2014)
  3. Study of the Chapter 11 of Salesian 'Red Book' of the Administration of temporary goods in the Congregation (ed. 2005)
  4. Study of the Salesian financial report, frame provided by the Office of General Economer
  5. Administration at the service of the Mission
  6. About the basic accounting system in the Salesian houses

Thanks to all the confreres and facilitators who had made effort possible and success and all the local economers, Wa Mission, Don Bosco Thibaw, Don Bosco Philosophate, Nazareth Anisakan , Don Bosco Kalay, Don Bosco Mandalay, Don Bosco Myitkyina and Don Bosco Hlaing Tar Yar communities.


We believe that formation in economy matters will help us to grow in the culture of transparency, more professional dealing with goods entrusted to us for the sake of the young people as well in the province wide solidarity.
