4450(II)_Each Salesian vocation is a gift from God

Twelve new novices in Tigaraksa - Indonesia (ITM)

Tigaraksa, Indonesia, 24 July 2017 -- "Being a Salesian is a gift from God but at the same time also a task to be fulfilled" said the Delegate for Indonesia, Fr. Belo on the occassion of the acceptance of prenovices into the novitiate 2017-2018. On 24 of July 2017, twelve prenovices were accepted into the novitiate in Tigaraksa, Indonesia.

These Twelve young men come from three different islands of Indonesia, namely Java, Flores and (Western) Timor. They have completed their prenovitiate formation in Sumba island. The ceremony of acceptance was done at the end of the vespers. Fr Lino Quintao Belo the delegate presided the vespers and accepted these novices.

We ask your prayers for all twelve disciples of Jesus following Him like Don Bosco with the help of our formators in Tigaraksa:

  • Marselinus Yobeta (Bekasi, Java)
  • Sergius Mensarosten (Manggarai, Flores)
  • Yohanes Deryn Trisdewanto (Bekasi Java)
  • Emmanuel Sedu Ria (Bajawa, Flores)

The viceprovince of ITM (Indonesia - Timor Leste) has two novitiates - one in Timor Leste (Fatumaca) and other in Indonesia (Tigaraksa, Java). The community of Tigaraksa is located in Jakarta, with a mission - Vocation Training Center, Social communications, Oratory and large agricultural garden - farm.
