Thai vocations showing good signs of revival

BANGKOK: 8th May 2006 -- Vocations, in the Thai province continue to show signs of growth.  The month of May began with a welcome ceremony for four new novices at Sampran, followed by a Mass during which five young brothers renewed their temporary vows.  Three of these will head off to practical training once the new school year opens, which will be within the next fortnight.  Their presence in the formation communities in Hua Hin, Sampran and at Nazareth will also be a stimulus for other young hopefuls.  At the same time, a further six new postulants have begun their year at Nazareth.. Ban Nazareth community, as it is known, is in Banpong, Ratchaburi diocese, north west of Bangkok.  Banpong also houses a technical school (Don Bosco) and the Sarasit community which comprises a primary and junior school, and parish.
