476 Solomon Welcome
SOLOMON WELCOME

L. Capelli
Honiara: 9th May -- The students and staff of Don Bosco gave a very warm "custom" welcome to their visitors from Japan
They were given permission to approach the plane and welcome their visitors with the traditional dances and pipe band music. At a time where everyone seems to grumble and lose hope about the way things are going, it's nice to see young people who find reasons to enjoy their education, to be happy, and to give a hearty welcome to their Visitors from Japan: Fr. Provincial: Stephen Fujikawa, sdb; Fr Vice Provincial Orlando Puppo, sdb; Fr. Aldo Cipriani, sdb Provincial Economer and Fr Iida Tetsu Vincent, new Don Bosco staff member.

The Japanese Visitors are directly responsible for the Solomon Island Don Bosco Educational establishment
and they inaugurated the building on Monday May 7 in the presence of Funding agencies and Government ministries

Don Bosco Solomons Is happy to be a sign of such a much needed Hope for the youth of the land who have no more chance for further education.
