Interview with Mr Michal Hort, President of the World Confederation of Don Bosco Past Pupils

Ban Pong, Thailand, 11 November 2018 -- The second Sarasit school Swimming Championship Competition was held on 11 November 2018 at the school swimming pool, with the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Cup as First Prize.


This swimming competition is divided into teams and single categories, with the aim of encouraging young people to develop their physical, mental, emotional skills, to help them know how to use their time productively, and also to find candidates to represent the school at other competition levels.


There were 461 swimmers, teams aged 6 and above. The result was :

  • The Champion team, who received the Princess Trophy and 5,000 baht, was the “Nakprasit Team ”
  • 1st runner-up : Fr Provincial’s Cup with 4,000 baht was the “Phetkasem 3 team”
  • 2nd runner-up : Fr Rector’s Cup with 3,000 baht, was the “Anubaan Nakornpathom Team”
  • 3rd runner-up : Dr Wallop’s Cup with 2,000 baht was the “Daruna Ratchaburi Team”
  • 4th runner-up : Kru Boonproh’s Cup with 1,000 baht, was the “Kasetsart U Kampangsan School Team”

Sarasit Phithayalai School is the first Salesian school in Thailand, founded in 1927. Presently Fr Joseph Nopphorn is the Rector. It has 1,790 students from kindergarten through to high school.
