4164(IV)_Fr. Armand Robleza, SDB, Receives the 2016 CMMA Hall of Fame Award

Pasay City, The Philippines, 12 October 2016 -- Fr. Armand Robleza, SDB received the Hall of Fame Award at the recently concluded 38th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) for winning the Best Children’s Short Story Category five times (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015). His books “HEARTY”, “ZERAH”, “GLOWIE”, “YOHWEL”, and “MIKHOL” are all about the different characters that witnessed the birth of the Savior on that most holy night: Hearty the angel, Zerah the goat, Glowie the Christmas star, Yohwel the beggar, and Mikhol, the Cedar tree. The series of this children’s short story continues with “NATHAN” the shepherd boy and “GASPAR” the king with the golden heart.

As we give our congratulations to Fr. Armand, we also wish to congratulate the other Salesians who also received awards in their respective categories: Don Bosco Press, Inc. and the Commission on Social Communications for “Family Matters Magazine” as the CMMA Best Family-Oriented Magazine; Word and Life Publications for “Word and Life Barkada” by Ms. Glady Ramos as the CMMA Best Entertainment Column. Word and Life Publications was also awarded with a Special Citation for Best Short Story for Mr. Raymund Narag’s “How I Found God Inside Quezon City Jail.”
